How dynasty values are built
FairPlay combines market context with open NFL production data, then converts the complete player pool into one consistent dynasty Superflex value curve.
Published league format
The calculator is calibrated for dynasty Superflex leagues using Half PPR scoring. Rankings may offer exploratory display adjustments, but the calculator does not claim separate redraft, keeper or live-injury models.
Data inputs
Production inputs reference 2020–2026 nflverse and nflfastR data: completed 2020–2025 performance plus the current 2026 roster snapshot. Market search rank, age, position, team status and model coverage provide additional context.
Model weighting
The current framework emphasizes market and expert consensus, NFL production, opportunity share, efficiency, age and career window, draft capital, position scarcity, and team environment. These inputs are normalized across the full player pool before values are mapped to the published curve.
Production and projection branches
Players with sufficient NFL evidence use the production branch. Rookies, prospects and players without adequate professional samples use a projection branch so missing statistics are not treated as poor performance. Rankings identify projection players where relevant.
Package adjustment
Trade value is not simple addition. Consolidating several lower-value assets into one elite player usually requires a premium because roster spots and scarce difference-makers have value of their own.
Seven-day trends
When a complete seven-day snapshot exists, the trend is the difference between the current value and that saved snapshot. Until enough history exists, FairPlay clearly labels a market-rank-based estimate instead of presenting it as observed movement.
Limits of the model
No model can fully capture league rules, manager preferences, breaking injuries or future performance. FairPlay is a transparent starting point for negotiation, not an instruction to accept or reject a trade.
Availability observation validation
Injury and player-record signals are displayed separately and do not currently change rankings or trade values. A daily snapshot records flagged top-500 players, then compares their rank and value after seven days. This observation period must mature before FairPlay considers any calibrated availability adjustment.
